Name
Dennis Mayfair
Name
Dennis Mayfair

Born and raised in a beautiful Staten Island mobile home park, Dennis has never quite been able to escape the misfortune that dogs his every step. Once upon a time, he was an up-and-coming boxer with a real shot at fame and fortune; now, he's a washed up thirty-something that's hiding out in Baltimore to avoid meeting anyone who might recognize him.

Much like a poorly-socialized dog, Dennis is gloomy and distrustful of strangers. Also like a dog, his favor can be bought with hotdogs and bits of cheese. He is, at his heart, a kind person- his heart of gold is just buried deep, deep under layers of stony indifference and tough bro attitude. He's difficult to get along with at the best of times, but is a staunch ally in times of need. Despite his attitude and appearance, he's easy to hurt (emotionally) and has a very short temper.

The injury that ended Dennis' boxing career still haunts him to this day in the form of permanent nerve damage in his left arm. He struggles with fine motor control in his left hand, and still experiences pain, numbness, and tingling in that arm despite having surgery years prior. As Dennis is a "tough guy," he will never admit this to anyone, and typically just suffers through it quietly so he doesn't "look like a pussy"... though none of his friends would ever think that about his chronic pain, Dennis has some toxic ideas about masculinity that make it difficult for him to talk about his problems.
